right now is the best time
Monday, June 27, 2011 at 04:47AM For years I have witnessed the immediate benefits of asana practice in my students. Often after class they comment by saying, "I feel so much better now." As I continue to teach the practices of yoga including asana, pranayama and meditation I notice over and over again how important it is for practitioners of yoga to feel something useful and healing "right now, " during and immediately after the practice.
Sometimes new students get caught up in wanting to know so much more or being advanced, that they miss the moments....being present with the immediate and real aspects of yoga along the learning path, and not hurrying through. There is no beginning and end of this ancient practice. Notice the small moments, bit by bit and let it unfold patiently. Suspending the need to judge or over analyze it.
Enjoy what it is right now, and let it help you feel better right now.
Peace,
Yoga Jane
